Tortuga New Mexican Restaurant in Dubai

Mexican food is delicious,not only Mexican food but the whole latin cuisine is amazing.I have been looking for a good Mexican restaurant for years in Dubai,and unfortunatley couldnt find any.Of course the Mexican foods served by big franchise restaurants such as CheeseCake Factory Or TGIF are very good,But I have been looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant.Recently I have been hearing a lot about this newly opened restaurant called Tortuga in Mina Salam Hotel.I saw the photos and the place looked so nice.I was so happy  and getting my hopes high that finally we have a good authentic Mexican restaurant in Dubai.So we went to this restaurant this weekend,I don't think I need to explain how beautiful is Mina Salam Hotel, absolutely amazing,and it is one of my favorite hotels in Dubai.To be honest when I started this blog ,I was so certain that I am not going to write a bad review on any restaurant,because basically I think about the business owners and the staff that are working in that restaurant,and even if one person changes his or her decision based on a specific post on my blog to not go to that restaurant and if that can have a negative impact on the restaurant's business that would make me feel guilty,but let's face it,it is hard to not criticize any restaurant or any food at all,so instead of being harsh or too critical on any specific restaurant I decided to give correctional advices to the restaurant owners,the positive aspect of this would be that the owners would understand their mistakes and hopefully by knowing their mistakes and correcting them they can attract more customers and generate more profit in the long term.

so going back to the main subject of this post which is reviewing the Tortuga restaurant in Mina salam Hotel,I have to say the restaurant was packed ,it was so busy,bar and the dining area were both busy.The restaurant is designed really nicely and the most beautiful aspect of the interior was the beautiful harmony between the two colors of silver( from the chandeliers) and the Turquoise color of the chairs.

The number of staff was not enough to serve that many people and the service was really slow.The food,I can't say it was a bad food,but also can't say it was meeting the required quality of a 5 star hotel food.Every thing had so much cheese in it and by so much I mean SOO Muchh,the chicken was not flavored well either.But We need to consider that this is a new restaurant in a beautiful location and definitely can improve.Please let me know what is your favorite Mexican food restaurant in Dubai?

JUNSUI Restaurant at Burj Al Arab ! Delicious Barbecued Lobster...

There are many amazing landmarks in Dubai,so many beautiful buildings.This country does let the architects' creativity flow.Out of all the new buildings and landmarks in Dubai ,I still think Burj Al Arab is one of the most beautiful ones.Over the years Burj Al Arab has been repeatedly voted as the world's most luxurious hotel.

There are nine different restaurants in this hotel.So far I have tried dining in three of them which they all have been impressing .In this post I want to talk about a restaurant called JUNSUI.Basically if you are a fan of  Korean,Chinese,Indonesian and Japanese cuisine this is the place for you  ! Interior design of the restaurant is of course very impressive,everything is so bright and glamorous as it should be at a 7 star hotel,adding the amazing view of the sea to it and  I can only say one word "perfection".

Variety of food is amazing ,you can experience many different tastes of eastern cuisines from their seafood buffet.The chefs are very attentive and they do encourage you to inform them how exactly you want your food to taste like.You can be a seafood lover but at the same time wouldn't want your seafood to be too smelly (including me),this restaurant manages this issue very well,I suggest you to try their barbecued lobster ,absolutely the best in Dubai and it doesn't smell bad at all.I can't even explain how tasty this lobster is! Where to eat Greek Salad in Dubai?

Greek Salad is one of the most favorite types of salads all around the world.Most of the restaurants do prefer to consider this choice in their menu.But are they really serving the Greek Salad? OR they think they are serving Greek Salad? I have had this salad in many restaurants in Dubai including some of the biggest franchise restaurants and the result was disappointing.Most of the times the portion is too small,the olives are too bitter,dressing is not right or the cheese is not tasting good and so on.However I suggest you to go to the Beach Bar & Grill in The One and Only Royal Mirage Hotel in Dubai and try this salad.Yes that is what is called a real Greek Salad.You can enjoy the beautiful view of the sea as well as the relaxing atmosphere of the restaurant.

You Must try this drink! Zafran and Mango Drink !

What I love to do in this blog is of course to write restaurant reviews and introduce the best in the town,However I think it is also fun to talk about some amazing drinks and salads or desserts and appetizers that are still some how not very well know,or don't get the recognition that they deserve.Such as the AL Basha special Salad or the stuffed chicken breast from the steakhouse restaurant in my previous post.I also want to keep the posts as short as possible because it is a busy life right? !

Now it's time to talk about this soft drink from the Zafran Restaurant in Dubai Marina Mall.This drink is a must try! If you would be served a drink in heaven this would be it.Combination of Mango and Zafran this magical spice that when adds to anything can transform the taste for good.It is so rich and heavy that can fill you up very well.Have it at night and consider it like  a smoothie (Smoothies are consumed by many people as a dinner alternative for weight loss) and you will see what I mean by saying this drink is from heaven.You can also go to Zafran after a long day of shopping at the mall and refresh with a fresh drink.Remember Zafran is a happy spice! Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Dubai (The Address Hotel Marina)

I can not say enough good things about this restaurant.Where to start?! Ruth's Chris Steakhouse is located at the Address Hotel in Dubai Marina.
The interior design is beautiful ,There is this dark,romantic kind of lighting with amazing chandeliers that grabs your attention.I love their band,and no this band is not one of those annoying ones with a screaming singer.It is an actual good band that you enjoy listening to.

The staff are very friendly and polite.I am not going to talk about the stakes dishes as the name of the restaurant talks for itself.  I know Ruth's Chris Steakhouse is famous for its steaks,but please do keep in mind they have a pretty amazing chicken dish too,this is a steakhouse and steaks are tasty here however I want to mention the very tasty Stuffed Chicken Breast which would be even tastier to have it with shoestring potatoes.This dish with no doubt is one of the tastiest that I've ever had had in Dubai. Dear Ruth's Chris Steakhouse since you can serve such an amazing chicken dish,would you please add more chicken dishes to your menu?! I haven't done justice to to this review if I don't talk about the great Onion Soup Au Gratin that I had as well,you should try it and you will love it.We will be visiting soon again.

Miracle Salad at Al Basha Lebanese Restaurant in Grand Habtoor Hotel Dubai

If you are a salad lover like me you would know what I am talking about in this post.For some people salad can be a combination of any vegetables or couple of lettuce and done! But the truth is there are thousand of kinds of salads,and the dressing is the key.I have had this salad at Al Basha Lebanese Restaurant in Grand Habtoor Hotel in Dubai that I call it Miracle salad.It is called on the menu Al Basha special salad.This restaurant does serve all kinds of nice food overall and there is a pleasant entertaining atmosphere with belly dancer and a good band.But the salad worth travelling from the farest corner of the city to Grand Habtoor only to taste this amazing Salad.Give it a try! You won't Regret it.

Have Indian Food, tasty one at reasonable price at Moti Mahal in Business Bay!

I promised that soon I will be coming up with a good indian restaurant with lower prices.The first time that I step in to Moti Mahal restaurant in Business Bay I didn't know what to expect.The decoration of the restaurant seemed nice,combination of two colors of white and orange was delightful.I figured this restaurant is apparently another branch of the one of Delhi's most famous restaurants.Mr.Kundan Lal Gural who was known to be the father of Tandoori cuisine was the founder of this restaurant in 1920,so basically the Tandoori Chicken this delicious gift was given to us from him.

I ordered my favorite dish of Indian food which is Butter chicken and Biryani Rice.The food arrived and I was amazed by the beauty of the colors of the dish.That stunning orange with a little reddish shadow that just by looking at it you could say it is tasty.And here we go I told myself I have finally found my favorite indian restaurant that serves good food with lower prices comparing to the ones that are located in 5 star hotels.The rice was amazing too,colorful and of course smelled so good.The Non  bread was absolutely one of the best Non breads that I have ever had in my Life.

However here it comes the tricky part,which is so important to be mentioned.What I am going to explain here is a very useful tip,yet so simple to imply and unfortunately so many restaurants can easily loose their customers to this somehow common mistake.You see! the fat of chicken is something that has absolutely zero nutritional value,it tastes bad,and it looks bad.Before cooking, every single fat from the chicken should be removed,yes even those very tiny ones should be removed otherwise,the chicken will not taste as good as it should ( doesn't matter how many spices you use) plus it will ruin the look of the food.At the end of the day no one wants to separate the stretchy fats from the chicken? right! My suggestion is if Moti Mahal fix this small issue ,it will be categorized as the best of the best with the very fair prices.So please remove all the fat from chickens carefully before cooking.End of the story is that, this is a great restaurant and definitely any Indian food Lover should try going there.Good luck Moti Mahal and please continue the legacy of Great Kundan Lal Gural.I will be visiting this restaurant soon again.

Must Visit Alfinique Restaurant in Business Bay!

If you are a fan of mediterranean food,Fresh fish,good salads and tasty kebabs You should definitely pay a visit to Al finique restaurant in Business Bay.Couple of days ago I paid a visit to this restaurant for the first time and as usual the first thing that attracted my attention was the nice interior design which was modern and relaxing,with beautiful combination of colors.If you seat outside you can enjoy the nice view of Burj Khalifa as well.By the way make sure to check their collection of amazing olive oils and spanish zafrans.

                               
                              They play a relaxing chilled out eastern music which you would love.

The food is amazing.They do make the bread themselves and it is served hot. We have tried both the chicken and fish.They were tasty, fresh and very well cooked.The appetizers definitely worth trying too and they have this lentil soup which for sure you should try.This restaurants needs some serious recognition as it can compete with some of the best restaurants in the town.Let me know what do you think of Alfinique.
